Thanx Gen. Strange about the custom textures though. These are the german posters. I haven't made them so I assumed they were part of the MOH:AA install. Still, I will get them changed, thanks for pointing this out.

I quite liked the loading screen, but I did ask for feedback so I have my first critic :D I wasn't going to keep it anyway. I did it last night when I was drunk!!

it might not be so bad if it was toned down a bit...maybe like so or just a color pic:

Alot of ppl have been making posters or dling them. Remove all custom .pk3 files and check to see if those textures are still there.

Nice one!

Could not find anything wrong with the map ( xept the missing brushes mentioned above ).

The only complaints I have are things I would not do in a map ( Oh yeah? But how many maps have U rereased Bjarne? :D ).

1) I would put the objectives a bit farther away from each other.
2) I would put in at least some ambient lighting to avoid the total blacknes of the cave ( or bigger lights )
3) The lamps in the barracs look really strange...
4) I would put in some fog... not a lot, just enough to remove that "too sharp to be real" quality U get when everything is chrystal clear...

None of these are big problems. I think the map is really good. And if its your first, its even better.
No idea how well planned it is... impossible to say without testing it with more soldiers than me, myself and I...

Good work!

Okay so the general concenus is that I cannot make loading screens :D Like I said it was made whilst under the affluence of incohol and it was only for the beta map. I promise to change it though.

As far as the objectives go, I do not know where else to put them, because the map is so small. I will have a think about this. I do need to add ambient light and again this will be added in the next beta, along with some fog and rain. As for the lamps, I was never too happy with them myself, they do look a bit odd. Any ideas?

Thanks to all who have replied and given me feedback. It is how you learn.

Oh yeah, the custom textures thing, really is bugging me because I do not have any custom textures in my mohaa/main folder. If I have a map in there that is custom made, can I choose the textures in MOHRad? It is the only thing I can think of.

Yes Quantum... you can use the textures from the maps in the main folder. If you still want these pictures, you'll have to extract them from the *.pk3 and insert them into yours ( pics and shaders ).

Thae lamp I would use is the "static/lamps/bunkercagelight" ( not exactly shure about the name, but something like that ).

U dont have to move the objective much ( or at all  ), just enough that they have to be defended separately...

like this from my map - the obj are close, but due to the construction of the bunker, they are not easily accessable from each other:

this is a bad pic, but you can see what I mean.

Okay, I think I get the idea for the objectives. I think I might have to extend the map though.

This is where I thought the map would fail, as I didn't give this much thought. It's hard mapping, you have to think of so many details.

Oh well back to MOHRad. My girlfriend is going to kill me, or worse!

There is one thing about mapping that all must know: gilrfiends ( and friends in general ) are more important than mapping.

I'm not kidding.

Really.

Its true.

Indeedely doodely...

:D
