How do you best utilise the model.scr ? Sorry about the vaugeness of this.

It's to spawn emitters (like smoke / explosions).

For example type this in your script:
thread global/model.scr::(0 0 0) "fx/mortar_dirt.tik" 1

Syntaxis is as follows:
thread global/model.scr::<origin> <model> <scale>
