I've become washed up on ideas on tutorials. Someone please give me some ideas for tutorials that you would like to see. If they seem legit, I'll make them

ok
objective map..
using obj_dm.scr
SETTING UP A KILLAREA
from mohradiant
create trigger_multiple
set targetname deathzone ( or something more descriptive )
rotate it, re-size it, to where you want the player to die......when the bomb blows ( can't hide behind something hehehe )
on the bomb, apart from the obvious
set $killarea deathzone note the $ sign
in game.....
When the obj_dm.scr executes, as the bomb explodes, the killarea is filled with 1000 damage points, killing all inside........
seem easy enough to add to an objective tute.....
I did it for my exploding trucks script, so when you are standing where the truck lands after being blown up, you die.......Flying Trucks post in the scripting forum...NOT updated yet....

O.k I did it, all you need to do is [if you are using a script pbject to cause damage] All you need to do is make the hurtobject script object brush bigger, so it covers wherever you want people to get hurt at. All I need to do is write it up, and maybe do some tweaking.
anyone got any other ideas?!

If you still need ideas for a tutorial, go to my topic "I want no fog...
http://dynamic4.gamespy.com/~mohrad/php ... .php?t=228
There I have a problem, which might be excellent for a tut, if there is a solution at all.

I have a great idea!!! Make a script that will set up a temp farplane number generator on a map. It sould have a control that lets you change the farplane/farplane_color while in the game and then prints the numbers on the screen. It would save hours of trial and error guessing at the numbers.
There may already be something like this built into the game. I'll have to look in developement.cfg and find out.
Ps: There is a built-in thing [bind F7 "togglemenu leveldesign"] that might have it.
