how do i change the angle of brushes so i can make a roof or ruble

Select the brush, press the free rotation button and rotate it!

To make this you have to select the right 2D grid depending on how your brush is placed. To toggle between them use ctrl+tab (XY Top, XZ Front and YZ Side).

To change the increment of the rotation press shift+1 to shift+5 (1 = smallest increment, 5 highest increment).

Select the brush, press the free rotation button and rotate it!

You can do this easily by pressing the R key on your keyboard (called a hotkey), then go to the appropriate view, press and hold the left mouse button in the area of the selected brush and move your mouse in any direction to see the movement of the brush. Very simple!
