Multiplayer parachute spawn almost working

I got Muliplayer parachute spawn working in Spearhead, but have two small problems.


One problem, when you enter map for first time, in specator mode, the parachute takes off without you, because you have not joined teams yet. So when you do start, you fall to your death.

Upon restart of game, you parachute down to the earth but you show up on top of the parachute like shown:

In my script

//$airstart is spawn box
//$$DZ is the origin under the spawn box
//$$LZ is the origin that $DZ moves to.


level waittill spawn

$airstart glue $DZ
$aagun TurnOn
$aagun2 TurnOn

airdrop:
$player glue $DZ
level.player_chute = spawn static/parachute "classname" "scriptmodel" "origin" $player
level.player_chute notsolid

level.player_chute glue $DZ
$DZ time 30
$DZ moveto $LZ
$DZ move

wait 31

level.player_chute delete
$player unglue

end

It works well, but as you can see in picture you do not look right. And as stated above when you first start map in specator mode, chute takes off without you.

Any help would be appericated by any of you Master Scripters.

got players to holster weapons now. I can not get some sort of array to work so that axis players do not spawn into parachute drop.

Is there a way to make 10 allied players (amount of allied spawn points) with thier own targetname, so I do not have to use $player (that effects all players...allies and axis....:()

level.player_chute glue $DZ

This line 'glues' the origin of the chute model to the origin of the $DZ entity, which is at the feet of the player. So the chute model appears too low.

You probably have to bind it to a player's tag, probably to his spine or something.

level.player_chute attach $player "Bip01 Spine"

Note that you don't have enough chutes if there's more than one player.

You also need to find a way to control new players.

Have the players spawn in an aircraft. Then they can jump out into a trigger that spawns the chute.

well the parachute looks right now. Works good for single player mission, I will have to think of something else to get it to work in Mulitplayer

Well the parachute will work for single player. for mulitplayer, It will not, So I will put the allied spawn points inside a WACO Assault Glider, (Script Object) then move the allies to battle this way instead of by parachute...:)

I just have to comment on that. You called it a small problem. LMAO that is like the funniest thing. I dont mean to burst your bubble because I could not even beging to script something like this. But when I read this post I could not stop laughing. To me that would be 1 MAJOR problem and one small problem :)

Without being able to get targetnames atached to the players, I am unable to get parachutes to work correctly for Multiplayer.

Eagle i am gonna help you out here for your parachuting troubles in multiplayer.
A guy in my clan has already done this so he has told me how to fix it.
Add a trigger under the parachute and script that for when a player goes thorugh it so when u enter the game ya parachute wont go unless someone has gone thorugh this trigger and VIOLA your player should be joined to ya parachute when ya spawn
