I hate alpha channels!!

I spent hours making a boat wheel and now the alpha mask doesn't work. Is there some properties of that channel that I am missing? It appears to be exactly the same as the texture I modified, but the original works and mine doesn't. I can't find any tik or shader for the orginal one either. Any help would be great.

Here is the boat_wheel.tga in a zip file you can download:
http://www.intplsrv.net/tltrude/Temp/boat_wheel.zip
The original texture is called
radar_frontflat_dial.tga and can be found in Pak2.pk3/textures/german/ .
My e-mail is:
tltrude@intplsrv.net
Thank you for looking at it. If you get it fixed, I'll post it for anyone that wants to use it. I would also like to know how you fix it, so I can do it myself next time.
Oh! I almost forgot, I have nodraw on the back and sides of the wheel brush in the screenshot above. And, I can't see the wheel texture at all from the back (weird). It makes me think there may be a problem with the RGB channels as well.

well tltrude check this out and tell me what you think
http://www.ekn.net/MOH/Moals/test/boat_wheel.zip
unzip the pk3 file, put it in your main foolder ( you know where it goes LOL)
start MOHradient
goto custom and put on a brush
and test it
Dont peek in the pk3 file till you test please.
if it works then you can peek in the pk3 file
After you test and then look you will see why. :)
The Moal Strikes Again LOL

:"Oh! I almost forgot, I have nodraw on the back and sides of the wheel brush in the screenshot above. And, I can't see the wheel texture at all from the back (weird)."
--------------------
^--- Thats why you can't see it from the back. If you put nodraw on the sides/back of the wheel, then all you will see is a white textures or nothing (because you'll be looking inside the wheel - thru a nodraw. When this occurs, you see the BACKSIDE of the texture or it doesn't render any texture/geometry from that particular point.
Seal the wheel in with texture, basically (texture the front/back/sides)... even razer-thin brushes need side textures, also, and flat brushes are impossible so... This is the only way to correct it I believe.

That's not true McBa1n because I used nodraw on the back and sides of the original and the wheel can be seen form the back. That is the standard way to use railling textures and other things that have the alpha channel mask. If nodraw is not used, a double image will be seen no matter how thin the brush is.
Sorry Moal, the texture is not showing up under custom, and Winzip says the pk3 is not a valid archive, so I can't open it to check (I downloaded it twice). Can you just e-mail the tga in a zip file?
Fixed

Thanks Moal! It works great now and here are the files if anyone else wants a boat wheel for their map.

Ps: I could of fixed it if you had just told me where to find the "hidden" shader. This is going to be a great map, I think. Take note of the FPS in the screenshot below. I got my new GeForce3 Ti500 and it's sweet!!

So, then, your question was moot :> Glad you have it sorted.
I stand corrected... Although, I have had issues similar to that with alpha channel textures - hence the thought I listed...

I didnt know till I tried it ( if I had known this I would have just told you)
and I gained more knowage about Radiant too boot
if it's a blue text TGA image it has a shader somewhere
if it's a black text TGA then it has no shader
the one for that image was in a general shader for german
it didnt have it's own
hidden

Ok, now I see what you mean by Hidden shader. Most of the water shaders are in one called misc_outside and is where I found one for my brown water shader. It was an ocean shader before and I think I need to use a river shader for this map.
Thanks guys for all the help!!!
