Mohradiant ....HELP..PLEASE......

Post by Mad Dog »

Mohradiant will now not load....was working fine.
What I did, dont' really know...but somehow i lost part of my grid, not intentionally. and couldn't get it back, i tried, and restarted it to....No luck. So then I at least saved off all my files....whew.....
Figured i would remove mohrad... and reinstall, then add back my files. yeah right!!! checked paths, seemed ok, but now when i exe & tab through loc paths i get an "ERROR" and it logs me off.. please help..... thanks........................ :(

bad maps

Post by tltrude »

I have had problems in the past that I was able to fix by opening the ".map" file with a text editor (like notepad or wordpad) and repairing the damage by hand. But, if your MOHradiant wont open at all I would suggest starting over (reinstalling) again. Keep only your ".map" files and put the rest in another folder for now.

Go to Nemisis' tutorial site and follow his setup for radiant:

Good luck.

I'm not sure what you mean by "lost part of my grid". If you were editing a map and the grid you refer to was brushes or mesh, you did something that caused it to become invalid, probably some bad vertex manipulation. You also have selected the option to automatically load your last (now invalid) map when MOHRadiant starts up.

You need to pick a good copy of your map from the snapshoot folder under maps. Delete your bad map, move the good snapshot copy to your maps folder and rename it.
