Hello .map
I've just downloaded the new mapping thingy for MOHAA Spearhead (SDK or whatever it is). I've never mapped before, so be gentle. I was happily working through the tutorial pages until I hit a problem. I easily made a room and then textured it, just like it told me to, but then I tried to add a light! When I right click on the main 2D window I don't get an option for a light. I get one for a lamp, but not for a light! At this point i thought i'd miss out the light and carry on, but then I hit the next problem. The next step was to add a player starting point. Again I had to right click on the main 2D window, but the options described in the tutorial didn't appear.
So, I guess my question is: Is SDK totally different from the old MOHRADIANT? Is there a tutorial for SDK? (ok, so it was 2 questions!)
Hope you can help.

When you right click you should see something like this:
Is the file "entdefs.pk3" in the MOHAA/main directory?

i'm a noob too, but maybe I can help none the less.
Player start is under the info menu on the pop up menu General death showed. (info/playerstart)
light is right there on the menu... don't know what else to say.
You are seeing that menu, right?

Well, i'm not a nOOb at this 8)
But you have to get the "entdefs.pk3" file and put it in your MohAA\main dir. It has been raised before, and it's here again...
Just like General death said;
Is the file "entdefs.pk3" in the MOHAA/main directory?
The entdefs.pk3 is located in your MoHtools dir. Copy&Paste to your MohAA\main game dir.
If you got more questions, please refer to the tutorial-pages first or just search on topic.

Cheers & have fun mapping,

If I am correct, with the SDK you shouldnt need to put the entdefs.pk3 into mohaa/main, I posted a question like this before and was told to remove the entdefs as SDK installs it own .pk3 somewhere.

Yes, he's right. You need not the entdefs pk3 with the "SDK".

First of all, thanks for everyone who made a post in response to my problem.
This is the menu I see when I right click (sorry if it's not displayed I can't copy and paste it from Paint, so this insert image command might not work for me!):

A few notes:
1. I can't find a file named "entdefs".
2. Is my problem anything to do with Prefabs? (The setup tutorial mentioned Prefabs, but I couldn't find that either!)

You'll have to upload your pic before you can do that. Go upload at a freehost.

LT I can e-mail you my entdefs.pk3 if you cant find it. It should be where you installed the mohr.
Arrgh, I can't take any more!

OK, I think my best solution is to uninstall SDK and try again, but there's no uninstall option! I was going to just delete the SDK folder, but windows said "Bla bla bla this may cause some other programs not to funtion properly" (something like that anyway!) So I thought I'd check with you guys first. Oh, and SDK is not in the Add/Remove programs list!
1. Do you think I should go with the delete SDK folder option or is there an uninstallation procedure? (I looked in the documentation, but there's nothing about it)
2. Shall I install MOHRadiant for MOHAA set that up and then install SDK (This might solve all my problems)
Ho hum!

Try installing mohrad first. And don't forget the entdefs.pk3 if you dl mohrad.
Success!

Woohoo! I downloaded SDK from .map this time and installed it without deleting my current SDK file. Now all the correct options are displayed when I right click. Great!
If anyone else is thinking of installing SDK don't download it from EAGames! Get it right here!
Thanks for everyone's help.

Surprise surprise, I'm back with another question!
OK, I've been fiddling around with things in SDK. I've made a room with a few lights and a door (Sliding door). I want to test whether my door works properly (I got a bit confused with the tutorial notes). I've put a player start in too (i think I did it correct)
I have downloaded MBuilder to make my map (I think that's what it's for

) When I use MBuilder to make my map I tell it not to run MOHAA at the end of all the pauses because I want my map to run in Spearhead! When I load spearhead up my map isn't in the multiplayer map selections. It's nor in MOHAA either. Can someone tell me what to do please? (bearing in mind I want it to run in spearhead)
