War on Iraq
I would like to hear your opinions on the latest conflict of the war against Saddam. It shouldnt be called the war on iraq because the iraqis are good people... well most of them. i just seen on Fox news iraqi civilians holding up signs saying stuff about how thankful they are. and yet these assholes still are protesting and blocking supplies of water that we send to the iraqis... and they say we are the ones hurting the civilians.
ooooh and the french!!! what an interesting bunch of lowlife faggots. but before i continue... i will have to say freedom fries are the stupidest things ive ever heard of. i bet those troops fighting for our safety and freedom are really anxious to get back here and try some of them new freedom fries... omg these are one of the reasons every one hates america... well anyways the french... they stab us in the back... dont help us in the war... now they are trying to get control over iraq when we are done... we are the ones who lost the lives of human beings and we made the sacrifice and they think they should be given the control of iraq when we are done...
when we set up an Arab government in iraq and feel that the new iraqi government is stable enough to protect itself we will leave.. Saddam is leading the iraqis into thinking we are going to take over iraq amd set up a permenant american government. the only american government that is going to be placed in iraq is temperary and will most likely be controlled by a military leader... thats all i have to say about that.
A world of peace... a fictional one at that. peace does not exsist.. stop praying and hoping for it.. war is inevitable.
About saddam... ok this one wont be hard... saddam... what an interesting person... an inhumane one at that. im going to give you a list of the things saddam has done (within my knowledge)
Things saddam has done:
Poured gasoline in peoples mouths and lit them on fire.
put people in industrial strength wood chippers.
uses civilians as shields because we dont wanna kill civilians just go kill him.
intintionaly bombed civilian houses and forced the survivers to say that it was an american bomb (yes we have accidently killed a small number of civillians)
To conclude this post i would like to say one last thing if you arent convinced... If you still feel against this war on saddam and his supporters (not iraq) you can atleast still support our troops... and not be those assholes who block the supplies to our troops and the iraqi civilians. I would appreciate any comments for or against (i keep an open mind) the war.

i'm just replying b4 ur post gets locked... and i didn't bother reading past the remark about the french...
every1 has opinions and every1 keeps their own opinions to themselves, not matter what we say, do, want to do or believe, it won't make the slightest bit of difference,
the only thing we can be really sure of in this war, is the crap that we hear from the media, once people realise that we do actually have sense and can think for ourselves, this bloody propaganda will end,
one last comment...
good luck to all the good guys (whoever they may be) involved in this war

I agree with you totally ! From my point of view its the second good thing I have seen America and the UK do in my lifetime. First was Afghanistan, the Taliban were a very repressive regime, now Iraq is a good way to being liberated. I saw the live shots as they pulled down Saddams's statue today, the people of Baghdad were so grateful for their liberation from the tyranny of Saddam. I always thought that it was a just war, with or without Saddams WMD, he needed to be brought to justice. The only crime I can see is that he has been allowed to do his evil work for 35 years, he should have been stopped sooner.
I hate leftie anti war protesters, its all fine to say Saddam should be left in power when you are sitting in your centrally heated house with a refridgerator full of food and planning your holiday to Disneyland, the Iraqi's did not have the means to be able to tell you they needed help and saving from a dictator, imagine living your life in fear of speaking out of line or even being accused of thinking out of line. How could the people speak out against such an oppresive regime ?
Anyways, I think it was a punch in the face for all leftie anti war a**holes when we saw the kids kissing American Marines in Baghdad.
War is not ideal but its the only way to deal with some people ! As the roots of our chosen game are testimony to, the need to strike out at these crazy bastards before they get the power to cause chaos on a global scale !
Well thats just a few of my thoughts,
Jack

im supprised to get such an intelegent response... the only reason i didnt use the words "left wingers" "lefties" because i didnt expect you people to know what those are... more mature people here than i thought.. though i can be pretty imature...
but im a little dissapointed that this post could even have to possibility of being locked... what is with that? i know not all people using these forums are americans... and i seen a post about mohaa rox i beleive (i dont remember for sure) that said they thought mohaa rox was from america... then rox (or who ever.. but im sure it was rox... maybe jv_map) replied and said that the person meant that only talent came from america... i thought he was jumping to conclusions and was being very rude... i didnt appreciate that much at all because the person was just assuming and he got jumped all over.. thanks jack for that intelegent post...

nuggets thank you for your reply.. but why should i have to keep my opinion to my self? i dont know where your from but im sure you have the right to express your opinion unless your in some communist country or something. and i just stated my side on the war and especialy on the french... i would like to hear your side on it aswell and anyone else who wants to state their side... this isnt to bring up bad feelings towards eachother and i the main reason i posted this was because i just want to hear the people of this forum's feeling on the subject.

my feelings on the war are best left unheard... but if you really want to get down to it...
we hear all these attrocities Saddam as done to his people, but because we haven't heard of it from Bush, Blair or over ruling figures we think it hasn't happened,
what do u think will happen to Saddam if they do find him alive??? then how humane do you really think the people we share this world with are???

OK guys, put it to rest:

With the turbulent and uncertain times we live in, emotions are running high. I have seen threads in forums at other sites erupt into raging political flame wars. Please do not do that here.
I have been a bit dismayed at the few threads that have been a bit more than negative concerning other mappings sites. Personally I prefer .map over the others I have visited, but use the others as resources as well. We are all here because of an interest or love for creating new possibilities for Medal of Honor.
The absence of emotional issues can only enhance the pleasure and flow of knowledge here at .map
Nuggets, I respect you and all but how can you bring up oil ? I am watching the news right this second, the Iraqi people are soooo HAPPY
You cant deny these people happiness, I dont believe for one minute it was about oil, all these guys celebrating that I am watching are younger than 99% of you in this forum, they have only known oppresion and fear.
DONT EVEN MENTION THE OIL MAN !
This is bigger than natural resources, this is right up there in the top 10 of just causes, we have liberated millions of oppressed people,
Iraq will be a holiday destination and not a war zone soon, thats how it should be and will be,
I would like to have made a leftie tell the Iraqi's pulling down the statue that they were wrong and that Saddam should still be in power !!

considering the fact that we only get 5% of your oil from iraq (that supprised me) i doubt it... and there is enough oil in alaska to last us ages... and as ive heard president bush was/is in the oil tycoon but i dont know his side on the oil of iraq so im not going to jump to conclusions on that... but i beleive it could most definetly be atleast a small part of it on the side of saddam having VX nerve agent and serin nerve gas and a whole lot of anthrax (anyone remember the anthrax attacks through the mail? sheesh)
and back to the alaska oil issue... these people worried about the animals there.. i was watching the news and infact the animals there use the ail piping as shelter... because they are soo big and obove ground... only a very small amount of wildlife space would be used for the refinery and then an above ground pipe (that animals can walk and sit under and so on) that stretches accross alaska. the only problem i can think of is the pipe busting and causing a large oil spill... which is a very big concern but oil can spill and cause invironmental damage anywhere (especialy in the ocean)

i don't deny that it wasn't a just war, and i don't deny that removing Saddam from power is the best thing that's ever happened to that country
but is it fair to blame the french, germans, etc... all the people who wanted to wait that extra length of time (not that i agree with the wait) just for not being so decisive to strike when GB and USA did
as for the oil, it's iraq's only commodity, the taxes are so high in so many countries because of it, surely the state leaders have realised this...
i don't know, maybe i am being naive but only time will tell, where the bloody hell is Saddam anyway... maybe he has been captured/killed
knowing that no more suicide bombers are about on the streets who support Saddam and they realise that iraq will be a better place without him will be the day we can say this war is over...

I wasnt aware of rule 5, so I am sorry if I stepped out of line. I am sure we all have our deep set opinions, I also doubt anyone can change our thoughts on these deep issues.
I guess the Innkeeper was right and its best to leave these heavy topics alone in this place we ask for help in.
