an idea for a guide

a good tutorial/guide would be A guide to textures showing people what are useful textures for different things, ie. a wood texture = good use for wooden floors and panels. however i coudnt do it myself cos there are too many textures, i could contribute though.

8) tell us what u think, i reckon it would be very useful for finding the right textures.

Isn't it pretty obvious to use the wood texture for the wooden floor :roll: ?

yeah but thats just an example. it could be like what type of houses in what area, urban, rural ect. are useful for.

is this in the wrong forum? cos texturing mapping isnt it? someone move it plz 8)

Something useful regarding textures you might find in this thread. Nathaniel once made that proggy to browse textures easily. The link to the zip file is dead, but you can get it here
