MULTIPLAYER

Well I threw together an attampt to make a cool map that has HIGH FPS so that you get a great ping online. I made it 11 on 11. Depot style setting with a few extras. I will be sending it out to a lot of websites so I can see the map online and running with 22 people. My best FPS with the lowest of settings was 80 FPS. Considering the human eye can't even come close to seeing 80 Frames Per Second I think it's a winner in that subject.
Check www.alliedassault.us or moh files for this Multiplayer Map in the following days.
When you get it come back and let me know what you thought of it.
Thanks 8)

Hmmmm. I'm dumb sometimes. I ment high fps. This didn't take me very long to make. I just made it while I was working on my single player maps. This is a depot setting for one of those maps, I cut and pasted it into a new multiplayer online map. My friends hooked it up on lan a few minutes ago and they haven't stopped playing it yet so I think that is a good sign.
Here are some other pics I took.

Well here is the link to the map. Have fun. This is just a taste of my work for now. I still really enjoy playing Iron Tusk against my friends, even though it's best aplication is through a lan network. TNT is all about close quarter combat with dangerous scenarios. Lots of weapons. Great 10 on 10 matches. I played about 3 hours of my maps on a loop. I had a great time with 5 network computers and few friends.

I'll keep you posted for my new work. 8)

Nice Map Cobra I could deffinately have some fun with me mates on there :)

I did find an error though near your flaming barrels i shot all the crates and under one seems to be a crate stuck in the floor see the shot below

Also could you please tell me how you do the breakable crates?

Cheers

Here is a tip on crates, planks, boards etc.
Make any brush. (square, rectangle, etc)
Rightclick on the brush with your over head or side view.
Select func>crate
Then with your new crate selected or highlighted press 'n' to get the properties screen or script screen if you will. Notice in the upper box of the properties screen you will see notes on howto make a crate.
Notice the check box for nonstackable? You need to figure out whether or not to have this "crate" be affected by what is on top of it or below it. Like falling when one crate below it is destroyed. I board up windows then give the boards func>crate but I don't want them to affect the other boards when one is destroyed, because they are nailed there. So checking the box nonstackable applies
I give a normal crate, in the lower half of the 'n' properties window:
Key:health
Value:75

This gives the crate a reasonable amount of health before it is destroyed.
I also texture a crate that looks sturdy or industrial, and give it more than average health. It mixes it up.
Making barrels is kinda the same. Make a barrel then func>barrel it.
Give it
key:barreltype
value:gas

(or value: oil or value:water or value:empty)

Simple right?
Hope that helps. 8)
