Texture/shader question

Does anyone know what causes a texture to display upside-down on a mesh? It's OK on a brush. It's easy enough to fix (just flip x) but, it is curious.

I guess someone made a little mistake in the radiant texture code. It also happens when fitting a texture to a face, more often than not.
Not sure why this is, but pretty sure there's not much to do about it. Usually you can flip the texture back by using a negative scale. It could be a bit more complicated for a patch mesh though

Either that or its the patch mesh code....i've had probs texturing patch meshes before and sometimes the texture is just screwed.....oh well these little things are sent to try us

Ummm thing is I have noticed that sometimes it does it automatically to certain textures other times not and only certain textures.
What I mean is it usually very noticable with 'Text' textures obviously and its happens both with brushes and patches.
But its not consistent some time latter using the same texture... and there's no need to flip it. I get it left and right, X and Y never top bottom.
I always thought it was odd.

Texture on patch is a pain, and normally hitting the "natural" button fixes it. You could also try inverting the patch and then flipping it over/around.
