Suggestion on making maps/skins/etc

As ive noticed many maps I Download have custom textures. That is really nice. But i was wandering if you can have two seperate Downloads for the map and the textures.
EX: Stalingrad.PK3 and Stal_Textures.PK3
Stalingrad will have the BSP file AND the textures. But for others there will be a seprate link to download the custom textures.
that way people wont complain about missing textures. I like it the way the shopp map was made. I forgot who made it but we had a seperate Download for the map and the textures.
