ok i posted this thread in scripting because this was the only place i could think of it belonging
ok there are mods that make it so if you turn forced models on it will turn them back off, there are mods that automaticaly change skins back to original mohaa skins no matter how many times you switch it.. so im assuming you can make a mod that turns crosshairs option off and thats what i would like to know how to do!
it might sound odd making a mod that turns crosshairs off but its for a tactical clan im in (tactical is the only way to go for me :p) and we dont want the members turning on crosshairs and saying they are off when training.
some help would be nice

To my knowledge there is no possible way of doing this. Crosshairs aren't a serversided feature of the game, so turning them off serverside would be impossible.

Well maybe you could overwrite all weapons to not have a crosshair.

FOR SPEARHEAD (don't know re mohaa)
Go through all the weapons tiks and put in:
crosshair 0
This will remove the crosshairs. Server side mod so onmy needs to be done there.
Create a pk3 with all these modded tiks. Stick it in the servers mainta folder and away you go. To remove the mod simply remove the pk3 from the mainta folder, simple

Of course you can have no cross hairs. Make a targa image that is a clear mask and there... no cross haris. Just write a .cfg script and bind a key to it. But one question.... who in the hell wants NO crosshairs? BTW mines a lazer dot, custom made one pixel. 8)

Well it's nice if noone has a crosshair. It would remove the unrealisticcally good aiming of most players.
Until 'cheaters' start to mark the center of their monitors ofcourse

lol... the dot in the middle of the screen was my idea

and if i made a crosshair skin that made the crosshair invisible then umm how the hell do you think the players that dont have this will not have crosshairs on their screen??? and editting the tik files sounded like the best idea to me... im going to see if it works for mohaa.

ok i am dumb and tried to upload my file to my geocities site and umm it only lets me upload pictures
so now im going to have to explain what i done ...
ok i dont know much about modding or anything if this mod would work it would be my first... i made a folder named it 'models' (without quotes of course) and then i made a folder inside the models folder and named it 'weapons' and in there i put the edited .tik files.. they are saved as .tik files so i dunno what i done wrong here... then i put the models folder (that contains the weapons folder....) and pk3ed it. it is now named user-crosshair_mod.pk3
what am i doing wrong? maybe i should take off the user- and take out the underscore and make it one word...

It's very possible to make a no crosshair mod, but then again there are 1001 ways to make a mod that defeats your no crosshair mod. If I were you I wouldn't bother making one of these no crosshair mods, along the lines of what someone said, you can't detect a number 2 pencil
