and oh yeah meant to mention after deleting everything but he sky box the error is still there so does that point to the fact that the map or sky box is too big?

well i got with wacko and in the meantime i took out all of my added maps that i gorgot to take out did what he said and it worked it was a ladder rail no hwere near the size of the tunnels in length which puzzles me as to the concept of how radiant reads somethings but i did like he said i used the clipper and then hit shift+enter and it made into 2 pieces adn it compiled although the ladder is now giving me some weird probs which i call flash lines lol ......it is causing a black triangle to flash across the map .
the only other times i have had this has been with handrails so i guess i need to redo the whole ladder any idea what casues this "flash "as i am calling it?

sry for the prior bluntness
-sometimes if 2 brushes are too small and too close, the game renders artifacts by the object-delete the offending object and rebuild with larger dimensions
or
-brushes that aren't on the grid tend to do bad things-select the offending brush and hit control-g or selection-->snap points to grid
hope that helps
