OPERATION ELENEL

Ive started mapping a few weeks ago, and Im making good progress, even amazing. When I first opened moh radiant I went like "WTF is this?". But in a few days I figured it out.
Im gonna release Operation Elenel by the end of next week, I hope. It is quite a new style putting together the V2 facility theme with the Remagen sort of theme. It is basically a road with an intersection at the end where the allies will spawn. At that place there is a building with a cellar (I already did this). In the cellar there is a vent which links to the sewers.
On the main road there are three small buildings and then the road stops. There is a big space and u finally see the Factory. The Factory looks (on the inside) very much like the room with the truck in V2 but only a lot larger with a control room. Over the two main gates (open) there is another sort of control room, like the one in V2 but with Machine guns. There is going to be a vent in the factory.
About the sewers (a bit like The Bridge) there are going to be three exits: one exit at the Allie spawn building, another behinds the gates and another on a street parallel with the factory behind a truck and some crates.
The teams are going to be balanced, I hope.
The factory is going to look very Natzi-like with big concreet walls with flags on them. Ill post screenshots as soon as I finish skinning, and some modeling on the houses. I havent started yet the factory though, but I got it all figured out. The weather is not decided yet. Im going to try to make this map look acap (as cool as possible).
About the name, it seems dumb but I got this ideea from some pictures of German facilities where trucks were loading and unloading weapons and food. You are going to see some trucks. Ill be opening a site for my stuff soon.
This map is going to be both TDM and OBJ (mostly obj, the objective beeing to blow up the supplies by the Allies)

This is the Allied Spawn building, they are going to spawn outside it and the link to the sewers is inside.
I didnt do the skinning yet.
This took me about 1:30 min.

I have finally got the building in the game, There are a few things I need to work on like re-placing some furniture, re-maiking and skinning the stairwats and ladder. In the two top windows will contain Machine Guns. Its my first map, Its gonna rock!

not too sure on the textures of the outside house, the wood at the base makes it look as though there are hiden windows :?:

Looks pretty good, but don't attach shingles to a ceiling (dangerous) ;).

OI dude, there are hidden windows to the cellar, I got a few buildings coming up, together with a few skins and models, I modeled an AC-130 Cargo plane for those who want to play with scripts ad make a flying spawn point.
I havent yet started the factory.

:P I modeled a Ground Based Radar Antenna which is going to be set as a blow-up objective on my maps in the upcoming Medal Of Honor modification "Best Of WW2". I dont know If I should put it for ppl to download yet, but if anyone wants to include this in their map ask here. Im still working a little on the blowing up part. :P

A little bit about the antenna:
Function

Radar type CPS-6B is a ground based radar for early warning CGI usage. By virtue of its "Vee" beam operation this equipment will be capable of supplying range, azimuth and elevation information. Because of its instantaneous presentation of height information, without the use of separate height finder radars, type CPS-6B radar are particularly useful in areas in which higher traffic may be anticipated.

Innovations

The development of this equipment was initiated in the US. Operationally, the type CPS-6B differs from earlier radars in the following aspects:

Improved low noise figure receiver.
Addition of Moving Target Indicator (MTI).
Increased scanning rate.
Improved presentation plus video mapping.
Combined D/F indicator for radar PPI.
Radome for Arctic operation.
Development and Production

Contracts have been let to Canadian General Electric for production of quantity two CPS-6B equipments to US Specification amended as regards display presentation. First delivery from contract is expected approximately May 1950. Estimated cost $2,400,000 per equipment plus installation cost.

Search

The CPS-6B employs two fan beams at an angle of 45 degrees to each other. In scanning, the delay between successive incidence of the beams on the target depends on its height and slant range - this fact is used in height determination. The vertical beam above is used for search.
Azimuth 360 degrees at rotation rates between 2 and 15 rpm.
Elevation - fixed determination without scan.
The AN/CPS-6 was developed during the later stages of World War II by the Radiation Laboratory at MIT. The first units were produced in mid-1945. General Electric developed and produced the A-model and subsequent B-model at a plant in Syracuse, New York. The unit consisted of two antennas. One of the antennas slanted at a forty-five degree angle to provide the height-finder capability. Initially, the radar was designed to detect fighter aircraft at 100 miles and 16,000 feet. The radar used five transmitters that operated at S-band frequencies ranging from 2700 to 3019 MHz. It took twenty-five people to operate the radar. An AN/CPS-6 radar was installed as part of the Lashup system at Twin Lights, New Jersey, in 1949 and proved capable of detecting targets at ranges of eighty-four miles. The first units of the follow-on 6B radar set were ready for installation by mid-1950. Fourteen 6B units were used within the first permanent network. A component designed to improve the radar's range was added in 1954. Initial tests showed the 6B unit had a range of 165 miles with an altitude limit of 45,000 feet. One radar unit and its ancillary electronic equipment had to be transported in eighty-five freight cars. The US Air Force phased out the 6B model between mid-1957 and mid-1959.

The CPS-6, 6A and 6B radar system was a combined search and height finder system. This equipment operated in the S Band and was developed by MIT Radar Laboratories. It was never used in SAGE operations.
