Hi i am about to start a map which is going to be called SNIPER TOWN most likeley. It will have lots of nice places for sniping from but also this map i will try to make good for other weaqpons aswell altouhgh the mian weapon thing that will be conecentrated on is sniper spots. The map will probably somthing along the lines of a destroyed viallage map but with lots more nsiper spots and high places. When i have got screenshots i will post them here
One More thing cna you please post things that you owuld like to see in the map such as different ideas for a sniper spot e.g what a room would be like and the sort of places that you think are good for sniping so i can try and include them in my map.

Oh well,
*A church must be in it, destroyed , with only the tower somewhat in 'good' condition,
*some trenches might come handy,
*houses with only parts of a floor, not to much doors
*high buildings

sad to say it but the church tower has been done to death.
how about a water tower, a radar antena(sp) made of metal, like the catwalks in V2.
a couple of barrels that explode would be nice.
how about a couple of trucks that drive from one side of the map to the other when triggered like setting a bomb? then could be used as walking cover.
those are just a fwe things from off the top of my head.
HTH
thanks

dirtbob do you know how to script triggered vehichles to drive across a map??? im stupid and i couldnt get any help on the thread about the drivable jeep tut which is for sp only though

but.. i never have tried it for mp.. but i dont want a 30cal i just want an opel truck that drives around so you can get places alot faster

cuz im making a map that has a looooonnggggggg road that takes like 3 mins to run the full distance just so you have to take the trucks...

Here is the first screenshot from my map, this one is of a hole in the roof i have just quickly made can you please tell me what you think of it (it has not been textured yet) and also uf anythign what shall i do to improve it cause personally i think this looks quits rubish as all i did was cutt parts out of it using cgs substaract and use the v key to reshape brushes on the bits i made to cut it out so i had different angles.

From your pic I guess you are looking through a wall, from what I have learned, never ever use csg subtract, try using the clipper tool, when you have a brush selected hit X on your keyboard, try clicking around in your 2D view and see what happens, you will get the hang of it and it works out much better for you.

ugh... that picture is all pixelated.. i dont know how you can map like that

if you have a little higher end computer that can support this go to... View> render quality> Trilinear.. it makes everything clear and not so pixelated but try bilinear if its really slow and jerky
