does it move at all? i mean in another direction maybe? towards or away from the player?

select the brush that is supposed to be the door, press n. is it a func_door?
anything else checked in the entity inspector?

what is "or whatever"?
there is no "target open".
is there anybody interested in a solution?!

if you've checked "targeted",though, you'd need a trigger targeting the door to activate it.

if you make it auto_open, it'll open when you just come near and you wont have to 'use' it. Is this what you want? it's rather something for trapdoors or flying saucers (maybe a good idea for a new map!?)

i would leave everthing unchecked, just set the correct angle. If it doesn'T work, try another angle. If I explained this you wouldn't get my english stammering anyway  I tried it once and it made things rather worse...

Did you have the origin selected when you used func>door? If you don't have the origin selected with the door brush when you make it a func>door then it will not be a door.

Select your door and hit key N. Now read the stuff in the gray box that tells all the options for your door. One is "targeted" (spawnflags 128) which turns off the normal built-in trigger, so a remote one can be used. Just uncheck that box and it should work fine.
