hey, i like da tuts i must say b4 i start, although sum of them are not detailed enough for new mappers..like me..hehe. It wud b great if u make the textures in the lightbeam available for dl or sumthin similar. How do i add workin guns to my multiplayer map similar to the guns in omaha beach. Also wat is a gd sized map.ie wat is too big or small?

Right click in the 2D view go to either turretweapon or static/turretweapon, thats your machine gun, also you need to drop in the bipod for it, can be found in the same menu I believe.

Also its hard to say how big your map should be, start with a small one so you learn your way around the software then attempt a bigger one.

Select the gun and the bipod, then just open your usual map, it will ask if you want to copy your selection, say yes and it will open your map and it will import the things you had selected into it. They should still be selected when then map opens, then just move them into position

Hi,

Here's a tutorial on putting machine guns in maps (hope it helps)

http://users.1st.net/kimberly/Tutorial/gun.htm

Just a note: You can move things by tiny amounts by changing your grid size in the 2D window. You push numbers 1 - 9 on your keyboard to change the grid size. (1 is really small and 9 is massive, the default is 4 i think). If you use a small grid size you have to zoom in on your 2D view to see the squares!
