The problem is when i want put a texture, i go on inspector and try to load barrel texture like a tut say me but it's failed!

Maybe i haven't install the editor very well

do u had meet this problem ? and resolve ?
or u never had meet it but u have an

have you set up the editor preferences correctly.

read tru the getting started tutorila included and make sure everything is set up correctly.

It's too weird !

i go in surface inspector and write barrel and i load but it says me :

Loading texture barrel...failed!

i always see a bad blue texture !


by the way i have all the files textures in a power archive zip . is it problem?

I can only assume the map editor isnt set up right and isnt reading the the pak files correctly.

there is a file called ENTDEF make sure that is in main and your project settings arent correct.
here is a pic of my project settings
in the dop down menu when you Editor click FILE
and scroll down to PROJECT SETTINGS.
it should look like this aint perfect but works for me

ok i don't know what i did !! lol

i correct my project settings in the good directory , thx !
and after that i clicked on file-new project and there the computer had loaded all textures but i can't put them on a box ! lol
it say loading failed..
so now there's a new problem !

i copied entdef on main directory..

Plz tell me what is the new problem and how correct it !

Please do this and tell me what happens

Open Radient
Create 1 brush (size shape doent matter)
Click on TEXTURES/COMMON form the drop down menu
press T and tell me if you see textures int he box.
make 100% sure you have
1 project settings
2 entdef is in MOHAA /MAIN
3 your preferences match those i have (check post below this)

If you have all that done and still no textures there is a problem.

Btw you say power Zip i dont knwo what that is but the textures must be in pak3 file in MAIN (PAK2 to be exact big one 350mb)
