Remagen mod, PLZ HELP!!!!

Can anyone mod the DM map Remagen? I would love to drop three tanks on the map to stop the snipe-spawn killing. I've tried to work with radiant and I am totally confused. If any modder could just plop three tanks in that would be sweet. THe tanks don't have to move, make noise, burp or anything. All they have to do is stop bullets and block a spawn killers view.

I would love for this mod to be server side, so our clients/guests don't have to download anything special. We have three servers that I would love to add this to.

Any help would be sweet. Thanks in advanced.

You can put things into stock map by script . What you do is copy the bsp and the script for the map . Then spawn things into the map by adding things to the script like this .


local.opeld = spawn script_model
local.opeld model "vehicles/opeltruckgreen_d.tik"
local.opeld.origin = ( 3102 -2891 1)
local.opeld.angles = (0 93 0)

You can get the coordinates by running the map first then type coord into the console . This will give you your current coordinates . Then put the map and script into a pk3 . pk3's are read alphabeticaly so name it remagenmod.pk3 or something after the letter p as in pak0.pk3 so it is read after the game pak's

I finally figured out how to access the .scr files, modify, resave, compress to .pk3 and get it to work!!!! Thanks again!!!

Now I have my precious tanks exactly where I want them!!

Question: How the heck do i make them stop bullets? Nades will bounce off and rockets go boom, but bullets pass through.

What am I missing?

PS: I'm not sure which work and which don't offhand, so just screw around with them a little.

if you look in pak0.pk3 models/vehicles your will see panzer_iv.map . what it is is a map of a panzer made of metal clip bushes . If you have a map such as this in the same directory as your tank or other model's tik file the game will load it and use it as a collision mask I think it's called . This is what you use to make static models and such solid so you can't run though them .
