Lamp Light

How can I make a lamp emit light? Do I just put the light beside the lamp or in it or can the lamp actually make its own light?

Yes, you put a light under or over the lamp, but not too close to walls or ceiling. You can also put a static/corona on the lightbulb of the lamp to make it more real looking.
