Shape w/ missing sides

Post by TechZimmy »

I just finished making a really complex shape and compiled the map. I found that for some reason, one of the shapes sides is invisible. Whats up with that?

Without a bit more info it's hard to tell why this has happened. Maybe a picture will help.

My guess is....

This usually happens when you turn a say 4 sided brush into a 3 sided brush (just an example) while editing it. This means two faces will be on top of one another and cause the textures to work incorrectly (i.e you might be able to see through one face). Did you get any errors or warnings during compile (such as Duplicate planes) ?

Complex shapes not built on the gird can cause issues with the compiler :(

Somtimes even if you do everything right the compiler can cause issues :(

I built it on the grid, and i dunno about compiling issues because my super fast pc (dual P4s) compiles really fast. I fixed it by just making a new one.
