wav
I think it has to be a special kind of wav file or it wont play. Also your tiki file name for the sound should not have .wav at the end. Here is a sound that works in all game types:
alias radio_loop sound/mechanics/Mec_RadioMusic_01.wav soundparms 0.5 0.0 1.0 0.0 150 800 local streamed maps "m2l1 m6l2a dm moh obj train"
Notice the name of the sound is "radio_loop" and it plays "Mec_RadioMusic_01.wav". So, it would be better if you named your sound just "hitman". If you use "playsound" in your script, it plays one time and stops. And, the loopsound line should be in a thread down below everything else with a wait line.
start_sounds:
wait 1
$speaker1 loopsound hitman
end
Using that thread requires you to start it under prespawn with the line "thread start_sounds". Also, your sound tiki has to be listed in your map's precache script (mymapname_precache.scr).
If you still can't get it working, try "sound/mechanics/Mec_RadioMusic_01.wav" in place of the "sound/test/hitman.wav" in the tiki file to see if the tiki is working.
