Fishing for bombs !

My Dad owns a few fishing boats, some for day trip fishermen another is a Trawler. The trawler works off the Kent coast ( thats uk for all you foreign types ). Well theres not many fish but last week they caught a WW2 bomb, the guy with the winch decided to scrape it with his knife, what an idiot. Your meant to call the coast guard to tell them about it but seeing as it was a pretty big bomb on a small boat my dad got the guys to dump it over the side again.
Thats the whole story but an interesting catch I thought
Also theres an ammunition ship that sank right there during the war, at low tide you can see a lot of the aerials and masts and stuff, apparantly if it ever explodes the wave will destroy a lot of the island, the isle of Sheppey that is. I used to walk right along the beach when I was a kid to the anti submarine booms, complete disarray now but they stopped subs getting into the Thames estuary, by the booms theres lots of sunken landing craft ala Private Ryan, they are buried in the sand, not much sticking above now but I really liked checking them out, maybe should walk back down there some time.
I just felt I should get that off my chest
