do you recompile it? the refresh button in MBuilder just reloads the listing of available maps to compile.

Try pressing "build map" with your .map file selected. You have to compile it to make an updated bsp file. The bsp file is what runs in the game. The .map file is just for the editor, and is what MBuilder uses to make the bsp file.

I think you have some errors in your compiler.
It means you have something wron gin your map.

I have that to sometimes. Most of the time it says Leaked. Just look when your map compiles if it gives such a error. It will also say that he can't write a .prt file.

If your compiler says ***Leaked*** then that means your map isnt air tied. I mean their is a hole somewhere in your map. Just check it out.

Good luck!!!

Draw a brush covering all your brushes (the brush is like as box, and the 1000 are the stuff inside).
Then do RMB. ->Select->Select Inside. And there you go!

One thing to keep in mind, is that if you have either placed your .bsp in the dm folder, or made a .pk3 of your map and placed it in main, you need to remove them both before you will see changes in your map from a new compile if you haven't renamed it.

Even though you recompiled, the game still runs the .bsp out of the dm, instead of the new one that was written during the compile.

This is just something to keep in mind if you know that you have no errors during the compile, and it should have run the updated version.

If it is not making a .bsp, then most likely as Psycho said, you have a leak.

All the information you need is in the compile window as it compiles.

Do you have a skybox in your map? If you do not, put one in. Make sure it completely encloses your map, and that it is structural. You want your world to be watertight, with no leaks to the void.

If you have a leak in your skybox, then the compile will result in a .lin file instead of a preliminary .bsp file.
Check your maps folder (or the directory you chose when you set up MBuilder) for this file.
If you find it, then open your map in Radiant, go to File--->Pointfile.

A red line will appear, and exit your map at the leak spot.
Then you can seal it.

Don't forget--terrain and patches DO NOT seal to the void. There must be a structural brush under your ground to seal the world.
