Medal of Honor vs. Call of Duty

My expectations for call of Duty are extremely high. It looks brilliant, and has everything I could hope for in a World War 2 shooter. I hope Infinity Ward can pull it off.

However, having recently played through Medal of Honor Allied Assault for what seems like the 100th time. Even though I can?t play multiplayer (I get disconnected about 2 minutes after I join a game for some reason) Allied Assault is still my favourite game in my collection. That is quite an achievement for Allied Assault; that I rate it better than Half-Life, Counter Strike, Unreal Tournament, Unreal Tournament 2003, Quake 3, Unreal, Star Trek: Elite Force 2, Aliens Vs. Predators 2 and other great shooters.

So I am a bit stuck. Which game should I map for? I immediately ruled out mapping for both; I haven?t the time. So I organised myself for once. I wrote out a Pros/Cons list for each game. Here it is:

Medal Of Honor Series

PROS
Medal Of Honor has been my favourite game 1? years.
Promising sequel ? Pacific Assault
Second expansion - Breakthrough

CONS
Spearhead was a disappointment
Poor mod support
2015 have left

Call of Duty

PROS
AI looks to be amazing
Made by 22 ex-members of 2015
Probably will have better mod support

CONS
Not compatible with MOH Radiant or any other Radiant
May not be as good as expected

-----------------------------------

So why have I just told you all this? Because I need you to help me decide. I know it is my decision, but I want to see which game you will mod/map for. I know Call of Duty will be amazing, and the obvious choice, but Medal of Honor has a special place in my heart computer.

So what game will you mod/map for? I predict most people will leave MOH and map for Call of Duty, then switch back when Pacific Assault is released.

Same here. But the game looks a lot like DOD.
And I REALLY REALLY hope the FPS is not going to be a problem in big maps. That way we wont have to worry about vis leaf group. I still dont understand it.

wow, thats a large image...

I will try stick to both, especially when there's an expansion and a sequel on its way, i love mohaa and the way it is (not a big SH fan) so therefor it will be interesting to see what EA has up its sleeve... (if they got any :? )
But CoD will be the intersting challange for me because im a new mapper and it will be cool to start from the beginning on something new, like everyone else! (except for the mapper Vet's out there)

I think maybe I'll map for Half-Life 2. I like the WW2 theme but if the HL2 engine is only a fraction of what it looks like, I would want to use it. Besides, Maybe there will be a WW2 mod for HL2. Valve seems to support Moding of there products so I wouldn't be surprised
