Looking for a few good testers.

Hello all,

I need some people to test my new map STALAG 69 (<--Click here to get it) and let me know what they think or any problems they find.

I usually think my maps are done before they are and then someone finds some missing texture or building (j/k).

This is actually my Tribute to Hogan's Heroes.

Three barracks with tunnel access, an outter area with watch towers & MG42's, a main office/officers quarters and one large politically incorrect oven with an elevator down to the tunnels for escape.

Now before anyone brings it up, I do know that you cant shoot through the fence. It was designed that way. Im not sure if I like it or not, it all depends on the playability. Let me know what you think.

Looks bloody good but maybe change the inside of that attic type place cos u dnt ussually see the tiles inside unless thats how ya want it, looking quite cheap or even RUSHED

i think the outside area (third from last pic) should be some lod terrain. just a little bit, dont make huge mountains out of the ground.

I think so too but seeing as this is only my third mapping attempt I havent got around to learning that yet. :D

hmmmm...i like the hidden rooms and secret doors, but the tunnels all look alike and i can see allot of epopel getting lost their. also i think you should put al little more rubble at the bottom of the hole there, so people can jump out.

some of the doors opent he wrong way in the little barracks and in the big house. the ceeling of the big house where you get in the attic is a little too low, it makes it hard to acuallt get in the attic, and it makes it so you have to duck to go out on the roof. also the two secret doors in the upstairs rooms only work one way, you cant pass between the rooms through the little closet deal there.

the mg on the bunker out side, the one with the sand bags can be rotated 360 degrees, and on the corner where to guard shack is, is missing a texture there.

you can walk between the guard shacks and the buildings, kind of a kill zone there.

and you have some dog houses out side the wire there, why not put a few attack dogs out there to go after people trying to get into the towers? that would be fun.

the tank on the outside is all busted up, but there is no smoke or fire, i think it needs some.

you cant do the ladder trick to get under the map, but landsharking might be a problime, also you might get a few guys doing the mg trick with so man mg's around.

the fps is high, and everything moves kind fast. im not really sure if this would make a good DM map because its so small, it might make a better clan training map though.

Psst take advantage of his insight bro you wouldnt believe some of the stuff he found on my map and i spent day after day trying to correct problems on mine and he still found stuff. Some minor some i was dissappointed to see. Its hard to do it yourself i know cuz your mind's eyes sometimes see what you want it to see. Any how wouldnt mind takin a look at it myself if you dont mind?

Thanks you for the feedback. That is what I asked for. I wouldnt consider anything you said a flame.

I have actually added more rubble already in my next version.

Originally I did have the two closets connected but didnt like it. I may put it back.

I wanted it to be hard to get into the attic and on to the roof. Once someone is up there there arent alot of ways to get them down so I want it to be a hassle to get there.

I did attempt to have dogs in this map but it wasnt working well and I also didnt like it when it was working.

I have considered taking all the MG42's out as well.

The 360 one has been fixed.

Totally missed the missing texture. Fixed now.

doh! another typo, you cant walk between them, i ment to say. if you walking around the building toward the guard shack, along the fence, there isnt enough room between the guard shack and the wall, or the guard shack and the fence to get around. you have to go all the way back around.

That is what I thought you meant BUT you can walk between the building and the guardshack where the motorcycle is. You dont have to go all the way back around. (I checked last night to make sure) Are you sure you tried to walk through there because if I can and you cant then there may be a problem.

yes, you can walk between the building and the guard shack, but you cant walk between the fence and the guard shacks, thats what i was trying to say.

the cyclone wire sticks out just a little too far for you to get around them.
