Looking for a good Webhost

Post by Alcoholic »

Does anybody know of a good webhost? I'm looking for one that has little/no popups, free, and lets me host files on it.

20 MB for free ^^;
My warning meant nothing. You're dancing in quicksand. Why don't you watch where you're wandering? Why don't you watch where you're stumbling? You're in knee-deep and going in, and you may never come back again.

I got a brinkster site too , another shameless plug http://www32.brinkster.com/specialopsclan

No pop ups but you cant have any file over 1 mb hosted there, also theres a million file extensions they wont host, like .mp3,.mov and even I think.zip, so its quite useless for hosting anything apart from your web pages and images, though I have kinda found a way through by streaming my audio from flash swf's from brinkster.
Philip II of Macedon sent a message to Sparta:
"If I win this war, you will be slaves forever."
The Spartan ephors sent back a one word reply: "If".

Its really better just to buy space works out in the long run, I currently pay 90 dollars a month for myself, that includes the whole lot 300mb webspace and all. This is great for me because I always can upload something when I need to, I get fast speeds, unlimited people can visit my sites, as well I can sell space to people I know in my city.

You may say this is expensive, but it isnt, I am 16 years of age, I pump gas for 70 dollars a day.

I currently pay for webspace 90 dollars a month, and 3 MOH servers a 22 man a 16 and a 12 man

thos range from 60 to 120 dollars a month...

I pump gas three days a week, for 8 hours... and I easily pay for this no hassle no worries...

then buy a smaller plan maybe 20 mb or so and pay monthly, when you wish to stop your plan than you may do so and not be obligated to pay for it.

some free hosting site though are

www.geocities.com <--- in my opinion the best ones 20 mb of space, upload ne file, and only one add that can be closed.

If you can pay $10 a month, I recommend olm.net
200Mb and they allow lots of files. Even mp3!!!!! Well, as long as you own the copyrights of the songs (which is my case; I'm a musician). I have game files there too, no problems.
