help with this wierd spawn issue

ok i got a prob.

I know how to spawn enermies on sp. i mean on my first level it works fine.

i done this....

charge1:

//thread global/ai.scr:: 3
end

i done this for my script on my first level and the enermies spawn fine. i done the same thing for my second level...BUT they won't spawn?? i have tryed everything!!? i mean i even quickly tryed to make a new level and try it and it works. but when i put it in my actual second level IT DOESN'T WORK????????

well none of the germans are spawning in my second levels and they do in my first level? i need some enermy spawners

maybe the reason they dont spawn is because your map didnt compile. when it doesnt compile, nothing works. did you check the log for a compile error?

no man everything works. the music, ambient, objectives, all work but the spawning it is wierd.

if THIS is what you put in your script, assuming you did NOT have comments in front, ( // ), take a look at what your asking.

your asking for a thread in global/ai.scr
the name of the thread is " 3".

what you WANT is "thread global/ai.scr::spawn 3"

well no still no diff.

it is wierd cause it works on my first level. but when i try it on my second level it doesn't work?

all my spawn controls work ( u know the system spawns )

but the trigger spawnswhere u can get like 5 spawns appearing don't work it is odd.

i try to copy it on a new level ((like a little room jus testing if the spawns work))) and it works fine. but when i put it on my level it doesn't??

what is the deal here?

this is wat i put on my script for my first level ((AND IT WORKED))

it is at the bottom of my script.

now i done the same thing and it doesn't work??

The // is makes the line a comment, so it can't possibly do anything as it will never be run. Must be something thats missing, or that the // shouldn't be there.

no... it works with // on my first level fine.

but it doesn't on the second level even when i tryed it without the // it doesn't work. i dunno wat it is but that kind of spawn aint working for my second level it is SOOO odd

ok barney your not getting all the info right...

for one thing, if that line is EXACTLY what you have in your first script, then that is NOT what is triggering the spawn because:

1. it is COMMENTED
2. " 3" is not a valid thread (see my post)

you either have a trigger in your map that triggers the spawn, or you have somewhere else in your script that triggers it.

heres some things i ask you to do.

1. post (or pm if you dont wanna give away anything) your WHOLE lvl 1 script.
2. #1 but with your lvl 2 script
3. #2 but with your new level (test) script.
