local.v2rocket model "static/v2.tik"
local.v2rocket.origin = ( 2973.00 2414.00 -510.00 )
local.v2rocket.angles = ( 0 0 0 )
local.v2rocket.scale = 1

$rocket moveUp 1248

I don't think you can spawn a static model from script :?

i think it has to be a script_model... right? and what tltrude said was right you cant just tell it to "moveup" you gotta tell it when to actually move.

thanks tltrude all i needed was the "end", this script below works fine:

local.v2rocket = spawn script_object
local.v2rocket model "static/v2.tik"
local.v2rocket.origin = ( 2973.00 2414.00 -510.00 )
local.v2rocket.angles = ( 0 0 0 )
local.v2rocket.scale = 1
local.v2rocket targetname rocket

wait 1
$rocket moveUp 1248
$rocket move
end

I don't think there is any difference. I just take it you will get lighting errors for spawning a static model with vertex lighting.
