Hitting the books.

Post by Jb »

I started on my first map.

I have done just about every tut i can find on this site and Bzarjne's and sumos. And on the net.

Every tut i can get my grubby hands on.

So my massive mp obj map is in the works.

I made my skybox, sun, and ocean(Island map.) <---5mins of work.

Now im working on my LOD terrain.

Trying to make it outta one big patch.(Every 5 mins i change my mind)(cant decide if several or one big one will be best.)

I have a pretty good grasp pf compiling. Even though it gave me several headaches.
Long story short. A very beta beta of my map should be out soon.(Soon means Long ass time!!!!)

hehe you will probably end up scrapping the map.... happens too all of us

im currently working on my 4th map, hopefully i dont scrap this one.. but the thing is scrapping isn't a bad thing... I have learned from my mistakes, my mapping now is actually quite good. although my scripting lacks..

Ive never worked with LOD so i cant help u but the easiest way for L0D i know about is too load from a grayscale bitmap

theres some tuts on that out there somewhere.. in the void. :!: :?:
