I just have a quick question. Is there a limit to the number of entities and brushes that I can have in my map? I am working on a huge map with a current brush count of 13600 and an entity count of 1100. Is that too many?

There is a limit which I cant remember....what you have doesnt sound like alot especially if you have alot of brush terrain which some perfer over LOD.

Ok thanks for the info General Death and yea Serph is probably right, compileing it will take forever. The 13000 brush count excludes all of the brush terrain - I havent even made that yet. What I am worried about most is the entity limit. I made this test map a while ago with around 700 func_crates and when I tried to load the level in MOHAA it gave me an error message saying something like too many entities of type func_crate or something like that.

the actual limit is an absurdly high numer no where near that (if i remember correctly) mostly what u would worrry about there is the massive amount of lag u r going to get if that is a multiplayer map. if its single, have fun getting caught in between trees :D
