Hi,

I'm new to MOH mapping but have have some experieince with GKRadiant, etc.

I'm following the tutorials and have built a map with MBUILDER. When MOHAA runs, the console is unavailable for selecting a map to load, therefore I cannot test the map. Do I need to tes this map with Spearhead? Then, can I use MBUILDER?

I hope I'm missing something simple. I'll appreciate your help and promise to help other as I become more experienced.

Thanks,

Rich

Right click on your desktop MoHAA shortcut, then click "properties"

You will see a "target" line come up.

After the "C:\Program Files\EA GAMES\MOHAA\MOHAA.EXE" add:

+set ui_console 1

So you rentire target line should read:
"C:\Program Files\EA GAMES\MOHAA\MOHAA.EXE" +set ui_console 1

Make sure there is a space between the last quote and the +.

Then use the ~ key to open the console once in game.

you can also go to the advanced menu, and check the box to enable console.

Is your problem figuring out how to load your map on MOHAA? If it is I load my maps by opening MOHAA then hit ~ for the console and type in maplist. I select my map and then it loads.I dont know if thats what you want to know though. :?:

The maps folder is for singleplayer games. For testing, it is best to put your ".bsp" file in main/maps/dm. Then you will have sounds and weapons.
