try this

$higginsboat thread higgins_forward_motions

Code: Select all

higgins_forward_motions:
	self.stop_forward_motion = 0

	while (self.stop_forward_motion == 0 )
	{
		local.random_time = (randomint 3 + 4)
		self time local.random_time
		local.move_distance = (randomint 48 + 96)

		self movenorth local.move_distance
		self waitmove

		local.random_time = randomint 2
		wait local.random_time

		self movesouth local.move_distance
		self waitmove

		wait local.random_time
	}

end

that will make the boat move north :?
copied it from m3l1a

or

$higginsboat drive $waypoint1

this will make the boat move but not ridable, if you spawn the boat solid,
theere is no way on or you will float on the bonderies,,

spawn it notsolid and then add a floor and four walls,

think as it moves the player also needs to be notsolid or he wont be able to pass threw some invisable map bounderies,,

so you will need a trigger, so when he leaves the boat he is soilid again or he is invincible,...

king of hi ping,

=LMAO=

Thanks for all your suggestions.

I'll look through the M3l1a .scr and have a look how they did it.

thanks

P.S. I did want to be able to ride in the boat should have said that in the first post.
