ubersound

I wanted a tank drive in a mp level adn that i make sounds, so i made a ubersound.scr. With this:

aliascache tank_tread_snd_stone sound/vehicle/veh_tread_metal.wav soundparms 0.25 0.0 0.9 0.0 800 4000 auto loaded maps "m obj"
aliascache tank_snd_start sound/vehicle/veh_tank_on1.wav soundparms 1.0 0.0 1.0 0.0 800 4000 auto loaded maps "m obj"
aliascache tank_snd_off sound/vehicle/veh_tank_off1.wav soundparms 1.0 0.0 1.0 0.0 800 4000 auto loaded maps "m obj"

But i still don't hear sounds, does someone know how i can fix this?

I read it, but i don't understand how it can be used on vehicles. :oops: The tut only describes how u can use it with a script orgin and with dummy.tik.
So u guys still can help me. (if u want. :lol: )

A vehicle requires much more sounds. Just copy the lines from ubersound.scr and then use the method as described in the tut with spawn scriptmaster and such :wink:

I tried the tutorial and added this lines to my script:

This is for a mp map right? Did you get any errors in the console upon starting the map (make a log with 'logfile 2').

Hmm possibly my work-around doesn't work in spearhead :?

For Spearhead however, you can simply make your own 'ubersound.scr' in the main/ubersound folder. Name it like your map, e.g. ubersound/mymap.scr.

You can then simply copy lines from the ubersound.scr file (and change the maps string). You don't need to spawn a scriptmaster first.
