Is is possible to spawn on a rope hanging so many feet above ground? (like below a chopper)

Not sure as in never tried it :?

Maybe you could simply 'attach' the players to the rope with a box of clip brushes. You can also try using a funk_monkeybar but I'm not sure if it works.

Or simply a func_ladder may do it :)

maybe if you put a playerstart inside a brush with the clip texture and then made the clip brush a spript_object and gave it a targetname so that you could remove it later don't know if that is possible to spawn inside a brush though . or make a clip texture box or platform and put the player start inside or on top of it .

just make a little empty box that encompasses the player, and make it move slowly down or something... making the player move up and down the rope himself is something else...

if your rope is dangling, (constantly moving), you could try to bind small func_ladders on each section of the rope, but i dont know if it works, or try func_monkeybars
