How do you set the scale like a 5cm by 5cm square of wood?

Do you change the size of the image when in an editing program?

Any help would be great!

Thanks

I dont quite understand your question,

What do you mean by a 5x5 piece of wood ?

You can make custom textures any size you want, tiled textures should be square, ie, 256x256 pixels or 512x512,

In radiant most textures look best at .5 scale.

Say you wanted the texture off a piece of wood 5cm by 5cm square you want to keep it that, so when you apply a texture to a brush it doesnt cover it all with out even doing ctrl+f

Is that more clearer, i bet not! :D

Well, I'll give it a shot.

First go to texture menu and select "Texture lock" and checkmark both "moves" and "rotation".

Next, make one brush and apply the wood texture to it.

Using Ctrl + Shift + Left mouse button to select just one face, adjust the face textures (key S).

When it is all good, copy the brush as many times as you need to and move them--the texture will stay in place.

If you have the scale buttons on the bottom of your screen and the shift ones too use them with one face selected .
