Whenever I try to save the script as a ".scr" the computer takes it to mean it is a screen saver. What is the proper way to save these files?
mymap.scr

You can just change the extention name of the text file by right clicking on it and choosing "rename". Then change it from "mymap.txt" to "mymap.scr".
You can edit your script while testing the map in the game. Just type "editscript" in the console. Then make your changes and hit Ctrl S to save it. Type "restart" in the console to reload your map and script.

No ! MoH won't recgonise files with a .script extension as being a script file. It doesn't matter that your O/S associates the .scr extension with screensavers you can still edit an save scripts that will work in MoH.
