weather.scr -thunder too loud

Hi is there a way to adjust the weather.scr thunder sound so its not so loud,,interesting thing is Its twice as loud when i upload it to a server as when im testing it out on my pc???

First of all, I'm amazed that the thunder sounds work at all, unless you've named your map either 'test' or 'm5l1'.
There's a way to change the thunder sound, I'll refer to my
ubersound work-around tutorial. Follow the steps as desribed in appendix A and add the following sound aliases: (best paste this text into a non-wordwrapping text editor)

alias thunder1 sound/amb/Amb_Thunder_01.wav soundparms 1.0 0.0 1.0 0.0 3000 6000 auto streamed maps "mymapname"
alias thunder2 sound/amb/Amb_Thunder_02.wav soundparms 1.0 0.0 1.0 0.0 3000 6000 auto streamed maps "mymapname"
alias thunder3 sound/amb/Amb_Thunder_03.wav soundparms 1.0 0.0 1.0 0.0 3000 6000 auto streamed maps "mymapname"
Where 'mymapname' is the name of your map. The first number after 'soundparms' controls the volume. 1.0 is normal volume but you can make it smaller.
