BATTLEDOME Update

BATTLEDOME
PRODUCTION PEEK

I will try and explain what this project is so please bare with me cause it's gonna confuse the hell out of you all im sure. This map is made for tactical combat situations with multiple environments under a massive dome. Buckle your seatbelt Dorthy... cause Kansas is goin bye bye.

TELEPORTERS
This map is made up of teleporters, a door that floats on water with no back side to it (i.e. u open the door and disappear through the other side), and all together wacky and strange modes of transportation.
This is how you will be taken to the different ranges in the map.


There will be exactly 8 numbered gates by which players will spawn at and choose and area to goto by teleporter or they can jump down into the halls and rome around entering the ranges by double sliding doors.

THE DOME

The dome arena consists of towers you can only teleport into, an inside castle area and a massive pit filled with lots of nasty things such as gas barrels, fire, barbed wire and lots of telepoters. The battle will be to make it from one of the 20 gates to the top of BATTLEDOME but you must go through an amazing test of ability before u can even think about ending up in the winners circle.


THIS ISN'T KANSAS
There are a multiple set up of ranges.

CLOSE COMBAT ARENA
FIRING RANGE
MOUTIAN RANGE
...many more (i won't give em all away)
The ranges were made to change environments on the fly. The open dome arena has a skybox of planets and a very strange scifi world. Other arenas look normal, a whole different map almost.


Close Combat Arena is a very interactive room filled with pillars that can be shattered block by block. Some prelim testing proves that it's amazing what you can do with exploders and exploderchunks with origin paths.


Im releasing this when it's done and tested on my own so no waiting around. I'll get back to you. 8-)

There is already somthing like this it's called Quake3 arena or something like that or is it doom .

Sorry didn't mean to put you down its just that teleport platforms sci-fi worlds mohball I guess I am a little traditonal about mohaa . I might even try it when you are done if I get that chance but if you start to add aliens and rayguns I'm outa there . It may be a good training tool , sounds too large for multi player . I guess I shouldn't comment untill I know better . I'll try to keep an open mind .

It's all good. This is def something that you don't want to take too seriously. But this is 100% medal of honor. No changes what so ever. Just an amazing map for people to train on.

This is a map I had never released but have been working on it for about 7 months on and off. (more off than on) This will be an obj map with unlimitted respawn. Also scripted Air Ships to navigate the final stages of battledome.

OBJECTIVE:

ESCAPE THE BATTLEDOME

GATE SPAWNING 1-8

Each team spawns in gates 1-4 and 5-8.
YOU ALWAYS SPAWN AT THE GATES.

It will be your choice where to go from there. The entire map is about teleports and ranges. In some areas there is no way out but to teleport.

sounds cool ,looks cool ,i guess its cool ....but ......from the looks of what ur saying its gonna be one large .pk3 (poor me and all 56kers :( )and i hope the fps is good .anyways nice work ,i love ur maps :)

edit:which game will this map be 4,mohaa ,sh or bt ?

Its made for all of them and will work with all versions. So far the pk3 is 2.4 megs. ;)

My vid card is cranked in those pics just look at the fps.

I thought Gen.Cobra was dead. Oh wait, I thought that after CNIII, then Treasure Island, then Stalingrad, and now this. Yay, another Gen Cobra map. Stop making so many good maps so I can stop and review one. I am now too scared to say "this is Gen.Cobra's final map" in any review. Gah, very aggravating :lol: .
