water problem

when i compile the map and play it, there is no water! (of course there is water in the map)

anyone know this problem?

What water texture did you use? Some of them don't work.

but yesterday, i saw the water, and i didnt change anything
today i compile again and no water :(

i compile with fast and no detail

i compile "normal" now, and still no water
a friend of me had the same problem and he said he had to delete the whole map.

I don't think that'll get your water back :?. Did you try a different water texture yet? And did you use the nodraw texture on all sides?

different texutres, yes, but no draw texture, no
what must i do?
just add nodraw texture?

Yeah.

Water texture on top and bottom face, common/nodraw on all others 8-)

still doesnt work, even if i delete it and make a new brush.
i try now to give the brush a non-water texture and see if it works

yes, now it works.
but i think it works only if i dont choose "nonsolid" in the surface properties

Well, You shouldn't Choose anything is the surface properties. Some water textures are solid ans some are not. Look in there shaders or make a test map with all watertextuers to see which is what. Make a new shader if you want a solid water to become nonsolid.
