Releasing the Hounds...

I have a map that is based upon a prison camp and I have some double fencelines that are contained (enclosed) areas. I would like to put dogs pacing (patrolling) back and forth. If they get shot ..oh well, they are just eye candy and the game continues. once they are eliminated...they are gone without effect to the TDM.
I have read tutorials on how to add dogs to single player games. Is there a way to add them to a TDM match as a sort of NPC?

You can add them as a bot. Download 'Lakeside' from Bodybagger, he used dogs..
bot?

Thanks for the heads up.
For my own edification, what is a BOT? I haven't looked through the tutorials regarding BOT's yet....will look.
A quick definition as a kickstart would be helpful though as I am very new to mapping.
Regards.

A Bot is a computer generated opponent. Jv_map invented the bots. The Bots are enemies, but they're not controlled by players from flesh and blood.
But mostly bots react just like a normal player

Thanks for the response. I have been reading in the "BOTS" forum. I will start reading the manual there and download the lakeside map.
I'll be back with questions no doubt, but thanks for guiding me in the right direction.

Let me just give a brief testamonial here.....
This site Rocks!! The forums and members here have been outrageously sincere and informative...people actually ask to see my noobie map to help me. Some good folks here.
I'm not trying to blow smoke up anyones behind, but I have learned more here than any other site. Creating brushes is easy. Creating a GOOD map IS NOT EASY.
You guys have been teaching me how to create an intelligent map. I will post some screen shots of my map after the latest compile if anyone is interested. I think with all the help from more experienced folks, it is coming along VERY nicely.

Let me also say that I believe that some folks who I sent the map to are not scamming stuff from the map....they are just providing some insight and their experience....that is very reassuring, after all the time I spent creating the environment.
