.Map :: MoHAA Mapping

Ok, I tried the old tute on camera's. I did everything and didnt get my camera working.

I really want to make some animated scenes. I have a ton of idea's but sadly no clue how to even get started.

Are there any tutorials out there for this kinda thing ? I know a few of you guys have got this stuff working, any help would be greatly apreciated, this is something I REALLY want to learn.

Cheers Random, though thats not the exact thing I was after.
What I was really trying to make were cinematic sequences in game, like the endings for the Spearhead TOW maps. I found a thread on TMT by tltrude with his camera map which opened my eyes quite a lot.

I also have pasted the berlin TOW ending into my map ,I have now got that working. I am useless at script, I can see what some parts are doing, others baffle me So now its working I am gonna try to find my way around to see how it works. Then I can adapt it to what I want, slowly im getting there

Just play with one at a time and a trigger or time something in the script, thats how I started, you have to write a log each time so you can view yourerrors. Dl my busy tut at my site also there is a map file in my spr map, it has a very simple camera thingy in it.

Thanks Sumo, your spr axis ending really inspired me, I liked it a lot, the maps veeery cool too.

I will get my head round it, I want to make the guys dance to MC Hammer, You cant touch this. I know theres a dance animation, on the skin selection on multiplayer if you click the tiny window in the door behind the guys they start to dance, I know this works in spearhead not sure about AA.

Would be really annoying if your on the losing team and have to suffer the guys dancing and rapping Hope i can pull it of.

You could go one step further and make them dance on their graves for added annoyance

If possible I will try to give them Hammer style big baggy trousers

The little window on the door seams to only reset theyre movments. Is there something I should learn?

Well I didnt try it in AA so not sure if it works but it does in spearhead, I made a rough movie so you can see where I clicked and what the guy does, here you go....

How did you do that?

Well you saw where I clicked to make them dance.

But to capture the video theres a prog called fraps ( its a freebie ) http://www.fraps.com/ Then I used adobe after effects to add the music then I ran it through xp movie maker to compress it into a WMV, I dont liek this format but it runs on pretty much most machines so thats why I chose that, really I should have made it a quicktime movie, I love quicktime.

Crumbs it wont work for me. But I did like your little movie. I might put it on me site lol.
