New Site

Hi everyone, I just started my own personal MOHAA mapping site, It is pretty simple looking but I am working on more maps for it and some tutorials. check it out at
http://www.lonemaps.homestead.com . Also my site includes a map request form, if you do not know how to map for MOHAA submit a form and I will see what I can do for you.

That site's pretty nice. A lot better than many sites. Anyhoo, there is nothing to download mapwise. There's screens, but no maps. Also, you might wanna change the link name "index" to "home" or "news", but that's just my opinion. Only the bottom 2 tutorial links work. The rest is good.
Lemme know if I missed anything.

I love the site, but music is not a good addition to a site.. even if you give users the option to turn it off. If you wanted to affiliate with my site
it'd be cool, but whichever decision you make, may good things come your way!

Heh, I had my sound down and didnt notice the music! They are right though, no one likes music on a page.

Ok I will remove the music. Unfortunately until I can find a free host my site will go down. I have to cancel it soon because my parents are canceling the credit card its on and dont wanna put it on another. I am working on finding a different host currently... Oh yeah the top 2 tuts arent up yet, and I will check the link to my map.

doesn't you ISP give you space? try sonnexh.com hosting, they're great but you need to get 70 posts to get hosting

right now all I have up is the forums, I will finish the rest ASAP, the old site is still up for the time being. Only problem is there are some things from my old site that I can't put on my new one because they are the property of Homestead. The new site might not come out as good but I will get it as close to the other as possible...

I would go for a
www.brinkster.com account rather than geocities, you wont get the ads or pop ups, theres limits to the size of the files you can host though, I think they have to be under 1mb, so maybe host your big files somewhere else and link to them from your brinkster site.
As for music on pages, it all depends on what your trying to do, I agree the mohaa music on the site was a bit annoying so lose it, I have music on my clan page, I personally like it, any of you guys think I should lose it ? the links under my sig.

thanks for moving that post admin, I accidently hit new post instead of reply. I think I may use something besides geocities, what would you guys say is the best free host?

Like I said above, Brinkster is a good bet for a freebie host, you have to click on the register link to find the free part, they dont advertise that on the front page, I used them for a while until I bought some space and thought they were pretty good, its cool to have no ads.

Okay guys I am using Brinkster and have started redesign of the site. Since they don't have a page editor like my old one I am using a site template. I know html and stuff but I am not like a pro at coding web pages. lol so it was either template or spend a while mastering css and stuff so that I could make they site look good. Anyway the site is at www12.brinkster.com/lonemaps tell me what you think of the site, just to tell you now I just started redesign so like no links work.
