Noob Needs Help

Hi all, I would like to add a sign or poster to a wall on a stock map. Is this possible? I tried the mapping forum & suggested to post on here. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

OK i followed this thread over because i an Epiphany on the subject. To add signs to all the rooms what you may want to do is yes spawn in a static model for example a flag static/flags/naziflags1 but it wont be this what you may want to do is such:
1.) Make all of the signs and sign names you want to describe the rooms out of tga files.
2.) Edit the tik files for the flags and make a copy of each one for each sign you will need, ie: static/signs/axissniperhouse. Make sure to adjust quake comments and what not so that it matches what you are trying to do.
3.) edit the flags shaders to remove any wave functions or deform vectors it may posses
4.) Spawn them in to the correct places.
Easy stuff right? If there is something here you dont understand just let us know.

I also followed this over...cause I knew more experienced brains than mine would find a solution, although I'm not sure the difficulty level of Random's instructions. Seems the most difficult part is locating the correct entities (static models) to mod.

Thank you fellas but I think I'm way over my head on this one. I never done this before & dont know what programs I need. Making a sign is easy enough but the rest I'm totally lost. I appreciate all the help & I guess need to read more into before I even attempt to try it. Peace out

Paintshop and notepad? It cant be that bad can it?
