"The Rjukan project": massive site update!

Post by Bjarne BZR »

I've added 2 big things to the site of "The Rjukan project":

1) A forum. Its the same type as this one ( phpBB ). So if you are interested in anything in the project: register today! :)

2) A massive amount of new High res pictures ( mainly from my trip the other week to Rjukan and Vemork ) :D

So pay us a visit! 8-)

Hi Bjarne,

You may be interested to know that BBC2 are showing a series about the heavy water plant attack ---> "Ray Mear's Real Heros Of Telemark". It's on every sunday at 21.00 UK time.

The first one was yesterday, those norwegian guys certainly were motivated and amazingly tough people. They are very modest about it all too, they never said how hard it was to trek the 100km with all the equipment in such harsh conditions with very little food to eat. The people recreating the journey (2 UK Royal Marines & 2 Norwegian Army Commandos) are finding it tough and they have nice weather. They have been given the same amount of food the original guys had, so they haven't the necessary calories that would normally be need to undertake such a task. Each of the men retracing the steps have lost 3-5kg in weight over 3 days!

Hope everyone out there gets a chance to see it :)
