Thats cause CSG is evil - don't use it - build round holes etc - don't carve

if you have to use subtract, copy the brush your subtracting and the one your subtracting from into a new, empty map. then subtract.
i hardly ever get errors when i use it, unless the brush is near some terrain. that crashes mohr every time. if your making something like a circle hole in a wall thats got a door or something cut out at the bottom, its very hard to build around a hole using clip. for doors and windows, simple stuff, use clip. complex stuff is easier with subtract tho

I've just started a small tutorial on why CSG is bad - full stop - its not just cause it crashes MoH Rad sometimes. When u're building a map u need to be sure where all your brushes are - you also need to be efficient with them - csg is not efficient in any way shape or form - and some of the errors it creates may not show up till the very end of your map.....

I must be in the minority....CSG has always worked fine for me. It now never makes my mohr crash. I use it for everything except for cutting a round shape into another brush. This simply makes too many brushes in that situation.
Only difference i have noticed is that the more ram I have the better it works. I said "now never makes my mohr crash" because once I upgraded my pc the CSG cmd seemed to be a stable cmd now.
That my experience though.
