zipped pk3 not seen by MOH

Post by hogleg »

:x I zipped my .scr, bsp, and shader files but it has a different icon than the other pk3 files in the main folder!

I know another dumbass noobie question. But I have learned alot in 3 weeks, thanks to this GREAT forum.

Thanks alot admin

Just to add: I can put all the nessesary files in the DM folder and everything works great, but when I zip em into a pk3 file MOH does not see it in my DM folder!

the folders must be in the pk3 and not the other way round:
so you'd have mohaa/main/yourstuff.pk3
and in yourstuff.pk3:
maps/dm/yourmap.bsp,
maps/dm/yourmap.scr,
scripts/yourmap.shader,
textures/yourmap/firsttexture.tga
...

or
it has a different icon than the other pk3 files
the pk3 file isn't one or there's a typo in the filename. maybe u made a selfextracting zip file?! rightclick your pk3 and take a look what kind of file it is. if the file extensions were turned off, it'd be better to make them visible (my system is in german, so i can't be of much help in this, because everything is called different...)

and

sorry for telling u things you probably know; it's just hard to tell from here...
