Hey guys. I just got into doing audio for Enemy Territory a short time ago and am now looking to expand into MOH Maps. I've been doing music production and audio for video and radio for 15 years and am a few years into multimedia and sound design for the web. If any one has a good map going and needs audio let me know. Check out my sites for reference if you like and contact me. Cheers!

I also do music outside of mohaa, and have found the music is often overlooked. More than likely it is due to the increased download size of a new map release. By using the standard sounds, you cut down considerably the overall pk3 file size.

I agree. Most mappers don't want the file to be over 20mb which I can understand. I recently did some maps for Wolfenstein Enemy Territory and are distributed to you online if you don't have the map yet. Good idea...if the filesize and server are good. No music made it to those maps :(

But since MOH maps have to be downloaded instead and that they use mp3 instead of 22k mono wavs...you can pack in alot of high quality audio into the map. I'm just beginning on a few maps now for mohaa that will take a while to do and I'm able to spend some healthy amount of time on the audio. Here's hoping folx won't mind a 50mb map...lol

Sonic, I agree, the sounds can be as important as the visuals and is an art in itself. I am sure people would download a 50mb map if your sounds add something else to your maps, lets hope the maps can match the sound, theres been bigger files released which were maybe not worth the effort of downloading, so I hope you can pull it off :)

Thanx for the encouragement Jack. It will be most worth it. I've spent the last few weeks blowing shit up in the backlot and recording some new explosions. Very layered and cool.

I'm digg'n your clan site too...nice work.

Yup. I have access to two local firing ranges and know a few guys with some auto and semi auto weapons that I have already recorded like the C8 Assault Carbine, The C31a 7.62mm Sniper rifle, An old smg and even older FNC1 semi and of course a browning.

That's about it. Sometimes I just modify exsisting sounds all to peices. But for explosions I mostly have my library complete as of this summer. All custom made at the expence of one melted microphone...lol

Oooo, lovely sound on your site Sonic, superb in fact.

I am currently learning how to model weapons and get them into the game, if I manage to get them in there then they will need sounds. I am sure your the man for the job. If I pull it off I will let you know and maybe you can sort the sounds out if you have time.

Cheers :)
